The Map

Branching Paths is a triangular arcade arena built like a fractal tree. Its 19 realms occupy fortified hubs, farmland branches and hostile outer tips named for fire, ice and barren ground. Only 39% of the 2480ร—2148 field is land, so the playable routes are narrow and deliberate rather than open.

The Battlefield

Movement is governed by junctions. Holding a branch can protect a flank, but a player who controls the central forks can redirect pressure across the whole map. Avoid becoming trapped at an outer tip with only one exit. Advance node by node, protect the route behind you and time attacks for moments when rival branches are already committed elsewhere.
